Struggeling with acne? I was for a very long time, but then I came across this article about the reasons you might be breaking out and let me tell you it changed my life. Sounds a bit dramatic right? But it really did though..
You can find the reasons behind your breakouts by looking exactly where you're breaking out. This theory is based on the eastern tradition of face mapping. Basically there's 5 zones on your face and each correlates to another reason. So without keeping you any longer, here are the 5 zones and the reasons behind your breakouts.
1. Forehead
If you're breaking out on your forehead then that might be a good indication you are not getting enough sleep or you're too stressed out. Try to at least get 6-7 hours of deep sleep a night. Be sure to turn off your phone, laptop etc. at least an hour before you go to sleep and instead read a good book. This will not only help you get to sleep faster but probably also reduces your stress.
2. Above the brows
If you're breaking out above your brows then be prepared to get sick. This area of the face is affected by your immune system. If you notice any breakouts in this area then you might want to slow down for a couple of days.
3. Between the brows
I don't get very many breakouts anymore, but if they do happen they tend to be between my brows. And there's an explanation for that as well. This area indicates that you have an allergic reaction to food. If you read my 25 facts about me post then you know I'm allergic to chocolate. I try not to eat to much of it, but when I do you can always see it on my face #Busted.
4. Cheeks
If you get a lot of breakouts on your cheecks then you're either a smoker or you're breathing in to much polluted air. If you're a smoker there's an easy solution. Quit!! If not, you might not be cleaning your skin enough. Be sure to cleanse your skin twice a day with a cleanser that's best for your skin type.
5. Side of the chin
Aah, the hormonal breakouts. Not much you can do about these ones girls. You just have to deal with them once a month.

Loovveee this post, since I've moved into my new uni house I've been breaking out on my right cheek, and I think it's because my housemates smoke in the house!!! Gah!

I barely have acne, never had too much cause it's just a family thing. But I always get small breakouts during my period time. I have a lot on my head and forehead and now some are showing up on my nose and around it. But they are soso tiny that they just disappear after some hours haha Still, sucks and hurts :( Really nice post, liked it! :D

I get acne mostly on my forehead, but I have oily skin and I'm a teenager. I get 8-9 hours of sleep a night (I sleep ALOT), so is it still my sleeping habits causing my acne?
