M.A.C. Lipstick collection

New York Apple - Frost
One of the very first colors I bought from MAC. It is a frost which I'm not too big a fan of, but NYA isn't so much of a 'in your face'-frost. I personally like to wear this color more in the colder months.

Syrup - Lustre
This is the first nude I bought from MAC. I will never be the biggest fan of nudes. I don't see the point in spending money on a lipstick when you can hardly see it on your lips, but I felt like I needed at least one in my collection. Syrup was the lucky one. And it turns out I'm the lucky one too, because I've started to love this color on me. It's a light pink with subtle blue and purple undertones to it.

Fanfare - Cremesheen
The next 'nude' I bought from MAC. Or at least I thought it would be a nude, but on me it looks more like a coral pink. I go through phases with this one. I think this looks good on me in the summer when I have a bit of a tan, but when I'm at my lightest it just doesn't mesh well with my skin tone.

Cyber - Satin
This is definitely the darkest color I own. I don't think you can go much darker than this. Well there's black of course, but that's not a look I'm gonna go for any time soon.
Honestly, I was scared to use it at first. I bought it because I saw a lot of people with a dark lip like this which I loved, but it's a little different when you're gonna wear it yourself.
This is a deep deep purple color. It looks amazing in the colder months on it's own, but I like to wear a lighter lipstick on top of it. Like MAC Bare Again. It's one of my favorite lip combos.

Faux - Satin
Again another nude. I bought this at the same time I bought Fanfare. Faux has become my go-to nude lipstick. It looks amazing no matter how light or tan I am.

Mac Red - Satin
I mean, you can't have a lipstick collection the size of mine and not have a red lipstick!
There's not much to say about this one. It's just a true red lipstick. I love it =)

Candy Yum-Yum - Matte
One of my most daring lipstick. Candy yum-yum is a bright neon pink color. It took me a really long time before I was brave enough to wear this outside my house. I find the problem with this one is that it's so bright that I can't combine it with just any eye make-up. What I like to do is wear this with a simple cat eye and nothing else. You have to let your lips be the statement if you're gonna wear this color.

Please Me - Matte
I thought I was gonna love this, but I don't. It washes me out. Because it's a matte finish it is really opaque. I think it would do better if it wasn't so full on.

Sin - Matte
A dark berry toned lipstick is the fastest way to my heart. I don't care what time of year or what time of the day it is, I will wear this.

Diva - Matte
Diva is actually very similar to sin, but I like it just that little bit more. It has a slightly redder tone to it. I accidentily bought this one. I went in for Cyber and there must have been a miscommunication between me and the MAC girl, because I came out with Diva. No complaints here though. I went back to buy Cyber and I absolutely love Diva.

Impassioned - Amplified
This is the very first lipstick I bought at MAC. I wans't quite ready for the really bold and bright colors, but like I said before I'm not a nude fan. So impassioned seemed like the perfect compromise. I often forget I own this one, but I've recently rediscovered it and I'm planning on wearing it a lot this coming spring.

Girl about town - Amplified
Girl about town was on my wishlist for so long. Every birthday, christmas and everything in between I asked for this and I never got it! And naturally everytime I went into MAC I forget to purchase it. But not last time I went. I made a list of which colors to get and I took it home with me. I have a feeling this will be one of my favorite colors for summer.

Chatterbox - Amplified
Chatterbox was on that same list that Girl about town was on. I'm not so impressed with this one though. Again as with Fanfare I think this will look really good on me once I have a bit of a tan, but I wanted it to be a all-year-round color and it isn't.

Vegas Volt - Amplified
I think of Vegas volt as the wearable version of Morange. When I want to wear an orange lip, but I'm not brave enough I wear Vegas Volt.

Morange - Amplified
When I am feeling brave enough I just get out the real orange! I know not everyone is a fan of an orange lip, but I personally love it. It think it's mostly about finding the right shade of orange for your skintone. My sister finds Morange a bit scary, so she bought So Chaud which is a redder orange and it looks amazing on her.

Dark side - Amplified
Lastly, Dark side. This is really similar to Sin and Diva, but this one is an amplified finish which is my favorite. It has amazing color pay-off, last for hours and feels nice and comfortable on my lips. Both Diva and Sin are Matte formulas and they tend to dry out my lips.
