My morning skincare routine

Given that my skin has been getting a lot better recently I thought now was as good a time as any to tell you about my current skincare routine.
What's important to keep in mind here is that no 2 skins are the exact same and you should always look for a routine that works for your skin. What works for me might not work for you, so don't be dissapointed too quick. Moving on from what I just said, I do find it helpful to look around what other people use so that I can find new products to try.
I like to start off my routine with the Bioderma Sebium H2O for oily skin. Even when I'm not wearing make-up I still like to do this step. You should know that a micellair water can not replace a cleanser. I feel like a lot of you out there think that micellair waters are quick and easy cleansers, but they're not. They can be used as a make-up remover or to freshen up your skin throughout the day, but never as a cleanser.

After that I cleanse my skin using my Clarisonic. I'm currently using the Garnier foaming cleanser. I'm not so sure if I like it or not. Apperantely it's not good to use foaming cleansers. I didn't know this before, but according to Caroline Hirons, who you probably all know, they strip you of essential oils and leave an alkaline base. Sounds complicated right. It's not. It means that you create a perfect base for bacterias to settle in your skin which in turn leads to breakouts.

As a toner I'm using serozinc by La Roche-Posay. Again, Caroline Hirons recommended this, so it must be good. If you want to know about the importance of toners I did a blogpost about it here

As a last step in my skincare routine I use the Lancôme Dreamtone dark spot corrector. I use this as my moisturizer. It's actually a serum, which means that it will sink into the deeper layers of my skin so it won't only moisturize and fix the surface of my skin but all the underneath layers too.

And that's it. That's all I use for my morning skincare routine. I find that it's best not to use too much products on your skin. I'll do an evening skincare routine in the next couple of days to show you how I take care of my skin overnight.

    1. Me too.. It's great for finding out about new products. The Lancôme corrector is really pricey, but you'll appriciate it.

  2. My skin just doesn't agree with garnier skincare unfortunately.

    1. I know what you're saying. It hasn't treated my skin well in the past, but this one hasn't harmed it yet. Thanks for stopping by.
